Detail Description:     The West Bengal Forest and Biodiversity Conservation Society, a registered society constituted under the aegis of Government of West Bengal, has launched the West Bengal Forest and Biodiversity Conservation Project in 2012-13. This is a JICA assisted project under reimbursable cost mode, being implemented throughout the State over a period of eight years. The Society, is implementing the project activities through Project Management Unit (PMU), which has Divisional Management Units (DMUs) and Field Management Units (FMUs) located in the districts under its management. The major activities include Afforestation and Allied Activities, Biodiversity Conservation, Community Development, Infrastructure Development and Capacity Development.

The Society intends to institute Statutory Audit of the accounts for the Financial Year 2013-2014. The statutory audit will have to be undertaken for the PMU, DMU and FMU levels in comprehensive manner. The Disbursement of Grants Received during the year was to the tune of Rs. 8.00 crores as a whole. Therefore, quotations are invited from eligible Chartered Accountant firms for offer of rates for the job.

Eligible Chartered Accountant firms desirous of participating in the bid should log on to the website of the Society, www.wbfbcp.org for downloading application documents. The documents may also be collected from Office of the Chief Project Director.
